Yesterday was European Language Day, which at my school was noticed in slightly different ways. For me, who taught art throughout the day, this meant that all my lessons were in English. Since I am fluent in English and also has worked as an English teacher, it felt completely natural and my pupils did their best trying to talk. It seemed that they understood most of what I said. I spent the entire lesson teaching about different kinds of contemporary art. As a matter of fact, in two of three classes, it was quieter than usual, so perhaps we should do English only all the time. It would be a lot of fun I think. I'm not sure the pupils would follow though.
